When/how/why was your studio founded?

Hobbies come and go but passion sticks. After many years designing footwear for corporate companies, I started searching for a creative outlet where I can bring the ideas in my head to life with my own hands. During my search I fell into the rabbit hole that is leather craft which vastly elevated my appreciation for each element required to make a single product. And through leather craft I was introduced to vegetable tanned leather and a hobby became a passion. Few years later Muse Element was founded in Summer 2017.

Who or what inspires your process?

The material oftentimes lends itself as the muse; expressing personality, an extension of a previous life. As environmental concerns play a big part of our brand, designing versatile timeless pieces become the goal. Visualizing how the leather will soften and patina over time is carefully considered in each design.
