Design Within Reach presents a special exhibit, Furnishing Utopia to be presented at NY Design Week. Designers were asked to explore the virtues of focused work and cleanliness of the Shakers. This theme of chores reexamines our concepts of these activities and the tools related to them.

With 50+ new objects from 26 international designers, the exhibit also includes interactive visual and sound installations to challenge visitors to consider again common tools.

Hands to Work is curated by Studio Gorm, Christopher Specce and Ladies & Gentlemen Studio, with overall creative direction by Ladies & Gentlemen Studio.

This year's exhibit includes 26 international designers, including a few of JOIN Collective's studios, like Fin, Ladies & Gentlemen Studio, Pat Kim, and Studio Gorm!

The exhibit is open 10 am - 6 pm Saturday and Sunday, and 9 am- 5 pm Monday and Tuesday.
